Lactose intolerance
Your gut can probably handle more dairy than it does today.
Most people who avoid dairy entirely don’t have to. Lactico gives you a small daily dose, raises it only when you’re comfortable, and eases off the moment you’re not — so you can get back to coffee, cereal and ice cream without gambling on it.

Why this works. Regular, gradually increasing lactose shifts the bacteria in your colon toward fermenting it better, so the same amount causes fewer symptoms over weeks. It’s called colonic adaptation, it’s well documented, and it depends on two things: small steps, and near-daily exposure. Lactico is built around exactly those two things.
How it works
- 1A safety check firstThree questions. If you have a milk allergy or galactosemia, Lactico tells you not to do this at all — those aren’t lactose intolerance, and exposure makes them worse.
- 2A starting dose that matches youAs little as 30 ml of milk if dairy currently wrecks your day. Small enough to be boring, which is the point.
- 3Log how you felt, in secondsWhat you had, how much, and how your gut took it. Had yogurt instead of milk? We do the lactose maths for you.
- 4The plan adapts — both waysThree comfortable days and we step you up. One bad day and we ease you back. You never have to guess when to push.
What makes it different
It says no. A dairy app that sells to everyone would be a dangerous one. Lactico refuses to give a plan to people for whom reintroduction isn’t safe, and it stops your ramp outright if you report a symptom that doesn’t belong to lactose intolerance — hives, swelling, wheezing, blood in stool — and tells you to get seen.
It’s honest about credit. Aged hard cheese and lactase pills are nearly lactose-free. That’s why they’re easy — and why they can’t train your gut. Lactico won’t count them as a dose and won’t step you up for them, which means the progress you see is real.
Your data doesn’t leave your phone. No account, no sign-up, no health data on our servers. We couldn’t read your log if we wanted to.
Not for milk allergy or galactosemia
A cow’s-milk protein allergy is an immune reaction that can be life-threatening, and it tends to worsen with exposure. Galactosemia makes even small amounts of milk sugar dangerous. If either applies to you, please don’t attempt a dairy ramp — talk to your doctor. Lactico will screen you out, and that’s deliberate.

Common questions
How long does it take?
Typically a few weeks to reach a normal serving, depending on where you start and how your gut responds. The app shows you a projection based on every step going smoothly — it’s a projection, not a promise, and setbacks are a normal part of it.
Will I be cured?
No — and any app claiming otherwise is lying to you. Lactase deficiency doesn’t reverse. What changes is how much lactose you can have before symptoms start, and that improvement fades if you stop having dairy regularly. The goal is a comfortable everyday serving you keep.
Is it a medical device?
No. Lactico offers general wellness guidance and doesn’t diagnose or treat anything. If you have a diagnosed gut condition, keep your clinician in the loop.
