Read this first: Lactico is not for everyone
Do not use Lactico if you have a cow’s-milk protein allergy or galactosemia.These are not lactose intolerance. Deliberately increasing your dairy intake with a milk allergy can cause a severe, potentially life-threatening reaction, and no amount of gradual exposure makes galactosemia safe. The app screens for both and will refuse to give you a plan — please don’t work around it.
Stop using Lactico and seek medical attention if you develop hives, swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, wheezing or difficulty breathing, blood in your stool, persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain, fever, or unexplained weight loss.
1. Not medical advice
Lactico provides general wellness and educational guidance. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified clinician who knows your history. The doses Lactico suggests are general suggestions derived from your own answers — they are not a prescription, and they are not reviewed by a clinician.
You are responsible for your own decisions about what you eat and drink. If you have any diagnosed digestive condition, are pregnant, are managing a child’s diet, or are unsure for any reason, speak to your doctor before starting.
2. Your responsibilities
- Answer the safety screening honestly. It exists to keep you out of harm’s way.
- Stop if you feel unwell, regardless of what the app suggests that day.
- Log accurately. The plan adapts to what you tell it, so inaccurate logs produce inappropriate doses.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Lactico. The app is listed for adults on the app stores.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Lactico offers an auto-renewing subscription with a free trial period. Billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your payment details.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, the trial converts to a paid subscription and you are charged.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us. We will happily support a request, but we cannot issue the refund ourselves.
- Prices may change; we will tell you before a change affects a renewal.
4. Your data
Your health data stays on your device — see the Privacy Policy. This meansyou are responsible for it. If you delete the app, reset your device, or use “Delete my data”, your history is gone and we cannot restore it, because we never had a copy.
5. Availability
We aim to keep Lactico working, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the app entirely, we will not charge you for a period you cannot use.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lactico is provided “as is”, and we exclude implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights you have in your country of residence.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Lactico after that means you accept the updated terms.
